On the 25th of Feb. 2010 the LACA Board held its annual meeting. The meeting took place at Holidome in Lafayette La. The meeting was called to order at 10:13 am. All members were present, Hilton did arrive a few minutes late and Virginia had to leave early.

1. Henry went over the agenda for the meeting and made opening remarks.

2. Everett said an opening prayer.

3. The minutes from the last meeting were approved without being read.

4.Due to Mathew moving to Memphis, he had to resign his position on the board. Wayne made a motion to leave the position open until the General Meeting in August, It was seconded by Everett and all voted in favor except Chip. After a lengthy debate it was finally decided to leave it as it was voted on, and to fill the position in August.

5. Financial Report was read by Hilton and he stated we are financially sound.

6.We discussed the updates for the website, at this time I had no updates.

7.LACA Education and Seminars were discussed , we set a theme for LACA this year "Back to Basics" and discussed several options for this years schedule. Meeting was set for the 5th of May 2010 to finalize the schedule for this years LACA.

8. The news letter was brought up and we need articles for the LACA Newsletter, please get with Andy . Also  there are several concerns for insurance, and we are having problems due to the fact we have no permanent address. 

9.LACA 2010 classes will be completed during the meeting in May.

10. There was no old business and the new business was trying to have the various departments consolidate any extra items that others may need in case of emergencies. Possibly having door prizes and a silent auction at LACA this year.

11. Everett was nominated to replace Mathew as Vice President and it was seconded and all voted in favor.

12. Everett said a closing prayer and the meeting was adjourned at 12:27 pm.
