The following meeting minutes are from the meeting held on August   , 2005 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  These meeting minutes are NOT approved.

Our meeting was called to order at 19:45 by David Marcantel.

A moment of silence was then given for Roicy Duhon.

Treasurers Report began at 1948, showing $10,152.66 in checking, $626.45 in savings (from Hurricane Andrew), and 3 cds. (1) 2171.99, (2) 2228.21, (3) 2173.42.  The cds are earning $16-18 dollars per quarter. In a mutual fund, we have $1500.00 diversified as of May 9, 2005, in a long term investment. We will hold our investments at this time.

Ideas open to the floor brought up:

Louisiana Animal COntrol Association Videos -- Laura Lanza went to the ASPCA, and they advised they could not assist at this time due to other contractual obligations. However, we are still working with LSU video department.

Undercover camera and pen cameras were also possibilities.

Motion and Seconded: No reading of the meeting minutes from last year. As per the By-laws, Dez Crawford is the new president, due to Marcantel's step down.

Motion by Diana Morales: One year transition between David Marcantel and Dez Crawford, and David Marcantel staying on as a Board Member. Seconded by: John Williamson.

2012 Hilton points out that with Laura Lanza's help, we brought the ASPCA to the Louisiana State Police Academy. Legislation is a very important part of our goals. Contact Hilton Cole if any assistance is needed with legislation.

St. Tammany Parish is looking for a Directoir

Upon assuming the President's Role, Dez points out that anyone who wants to be involved with LACA to e-mail her and explain why they are interested.

We had no Shelter worker, Office worker, or Officer of the year, however, a motion for Volunteer of year, with John Williamson seconding. All in favor.

Diana Morales points out that persons interested need to be able to attend the meetings and must want to be involved.

Dez passes out, then reads story "The Pact of the Fire-A Lakota Sioux Legend"
